Priya Dental uses advanced equipment to guarantee that your restoration is beautiful and functional. A lost tooth should not be disregarded. Neighbouring and opposing teeth tend to collapse into the empty gap, producing additional problems. While we do our best to save your natural teeth, this may not always be achievable. Thats where dental implants come in: they provide long-lasting, gorgeous ceramic crowns that look and feel precisely like your natural teeth!

FAQs

1. What are dental implants made of?

Dental implants are created from titanium and other alloys. They are designed to be highly durable to resist the force of daily chewing.

2. Can you replace your front teeth?

Front teeth can be replaced with dental implants, fixed bridges, or removable dentures.

3. What are the alternatives to dental implants?

A dental implant can be replaced with a bridge or a removable denture.

4. Is there a minimum age for dental implant treatment?

In general, dental implants should be inserted when the patient's growth has halted, which is usually about 18 years. It ensures the implant is placed correctly to hold the future tooth once it has grown.

5. What is the guarantee on dental implants?

If properly maintained, implants have no expiration date. If an implant fails, patients typically experience minor discomfort and an unpleasant taste in their mouth. The implants are then removed using local anaesthetic, and a fresh implant is placed. When there's not enough bone, we perform a bone graft in the area. After 4-6 months, a replacement implant is inserted once there's sufficient bone.

6. Why can't I get a bridge?

One significant advantage of implants over conventional bridges is that no surrounding teeth must be removed to accommodate a dental implant. A bridge requires neighbouring teeth to be curved down to accept the bridge and replace a lost tooth. When implants are used, neighbouring teeth are spared while the missing tooth is successfully rebuilt. In some circumstances, the cost of a single dental implant and crown is the same as that of a bridge, making it even more important to protect the adjacent teeth and avoid inserting a bridge when an implant is used.
