Steps to a Perfect Denture
Step 1
Priya Dental Team will examine your teeth and determine which denture suits you.
Step 2
Denture fabrication normally requires 3-4 visits over period. However, upon request, this can be accomplished in considerably less time (3 days).

Denture Post-Operative Instructions
Introduction:
When you start wearing your new prosthesis, you may need to relearn your typical mouth functions. These include eating, talking, swallowing, lip posture, and ridge comfort. Team Priya Dentals advice may assist you in adjusting to and maintaining your new prosthesis.
Discomfort
To avoid pain, start with simple yet nutritious foods. A milder diet may include fish, eggs, cottage cheese, boiled potatoes, oranges, and applesauce. If you are experiencing discomfort, remove the denture and massage the uncomfortable area with your finger. Allow the gums to rest before becoming apparent; exact adjustments will be impossible.
Chewing
Our specialised team at Priya Dental encourages you to chew on both sides of your mouth. If food is chewed evenly on both sides, the denture is less prone to tipping. Avoid biting with your front teeth since this will cause the back end of the denture to slide off the gums. Biting with the side teeth provides greater stability.
Swallowing
A minor denture base adjustment can be all that is needed to relieve swallowing pain.
Saliva
For a few days, stimulating your new dentures may cause your mouth to produce more or less saliva. Stay patient, and the flow will return to normal.
Speech
Speech is a highly intricate and dynamic process that relies on the comprehensive use of the mouth and the airway. The construction of your denture has been done with stability and retention during speech in mind. Thankfully, individuals are highly flexible, and communication sounds good when it is spoken. Give speech time to adjust; if it doesn't sound natural, you do not need to worry. Read aloud a few times. Don't give the process too much thought.
Cleaning
Brushing your prosthesis vigorously with a firm denture brush will remove food particles and bacterial plaque. Use either soap and water or a commercial denture washing solution. Do not use toothpaste to clean your dentures. The effervescent soaking solutions are also effective. Follow the manufacturers directions. Wash your denture in a basin of water or with a cloth. The acrylic section may fracture if dropped on a hard surface, while any metal may flex. Remember to clean the implant attachments in your mouth as well. Use a gentle toothbrush to massage and clean your gums and tongue gently.
Sleep
In general, take your dentures out before going to sleep. It allows the gums to recover.
Recall
Post-delivery follow-up typically involves three visits, but more are available as required. After the first year, annual recall visits are important for monitoring changes
in ridge shape, tooth wear, and overall oral health. If you are experiencing pain, difficulty chewing, or wear or fracture of the base or teeth, please schedule an appointment with the Priya Dental team as soon as possible.
